Who floats on?

I just wanted to see what you all thought of this song: musically and lyrically. I personally really enjoy the music but am not sure about the lyrics....

I hate Modest Mouse. About this song, there's nothing objectional in the lyrics (unlike most of their other stuff). It actually has a very positive message, which you of all people should be listening to right now. Having said that, I think the music stinks. Out of curiousity, did you hear about Modest Mouse from J. Farrington?

No, i didnt hear it from Jfarr. I actually meant what do you think of the meaning and message of the lyrics, and what exactly do you dislike about this song's music?

Yeah just that. I think the song is about persevering through life's troubles. As for the music, it's just too obnoxious for me. BTW, can I spend w/ you Fri. and Sat.?

I personally like the music, and the message seems to me to be one of those songs where you just "float on" or go on with your life no matter what comes your way. I don't entirely believe in the song, but its pleasant enough to listen to.

Dudes, you can barely go wrong with indie!! MM tho is one of the more crazy ones you have to get used to. The music Is Amazing tho!! what are you talking about "annoying"? =P

But yes, I don't like how secular it is, like most of their songs, like smurferboy said.

I think they both said it when they conjured the meaning about life just going on or floating on.

I mean I'm sure there's other meanings you could find out of it, but that's obviously the most likely one :)
